Measurement & installation of steel doors
At Maison Acier, we guide you from A to Z. Because our steel doors are completely custom-made, we work with a clear process: from order and measurement to production and professional installation.
Step 1 – Order or Request
You can place an order via our webshop or contact us first for advice.
Do you have any questions about dimensions, style or possibilities? We are happy to help you choose the right custom steel door for your interior.
Step 2 – On-site survey
For most projects, we schedule a site survey at your home.
During this appointment:
- we take the exact measurements of the opening
- we check if installation is technically feasible
- we discuss any details or adjustments
If necessary, we adjust the order so that the door fits perfectly into the space.
Step 3 - Door Production
After the final measurements, we start with the production of your custom steel door.
Because each door is specifically made for your home, production usually takes several weeks.
Step 4 – Installation appointment
Once the door is ready, we will contact you to schedule a delivery and installation appointment.
Together, we will find a time that works best for you.
Step 5 – Professional placement
Our professionals ensure a careful and professional installation of the steel door.
After installation, we check that everything is functioning perfectly and leave the area tidy.

In most cases, yes. Because our steel doors are custom-made, we often first visit to take professional measurements. This allows us to determine the exact dimensions and check whether installation is technically feasible.
It is useful if the opening where the door will be placed is easily accessible. If renovation work is still planned, it may be useful to discuss this with us in advance so that we can schedule the measurement at the right time.
In exceptional cases, it may turn out that installation is technically not possible. In that case, Maison Acier may cancel the order and any amounts already paid will be refunded.
